Sound therapy uses various sound tools to re-balance the body’s energies on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level to promote health and well-being. The sound tools are generally used by people from indigenous tribes who lived by the land and respected the laws of nature.
The sound healing experience is an experience of shamanic healing. It is healing that occurs on the deepest levels. An emotional-spiritual letting go. Reaching back to the first time people put their hands together to make rhythm and music, sound taps into our basic physiology, connecting body, mind and spirit.
Today, sound is a powerful modality used in rituals, ceremonies, meditations and healing.
The purpose of a sound healing session is to enable you to be totally in the moment with the vibration of sound. It can best be described as a “sound bath” or a “massage on a cellular level” as you allow the sound to pass into you, pass through you and around you, thereby triggering release of blockages and enabling harmony, joy and bliss.
A sound healing session can be facilitated for one or more people, with the size of groups limited to 12. The duration is about 1 and half hours. Following the session, there is a talking circle where each person has the opportunity to share his or her experiences.
